The Management portion of your Cosmetology Training offers career-planning classes to help you decide on the career path that's right for you. You'll learn how to write a resume, conduct yourself during an interview, and achieve a professional image - all the elements that are important to your success. With a Managing Cosmetology License you can own or operate your own salon.  Completion of this program enables you to meet the requirements for a Managing Cosmetology License.

Managing Esthetics
When you choose Managing Esthetics training, you will learn advanced skin care using the latest equipment. Your Managing Esthetics training program includes:  

Waxing Microdermabrasion
Facials Massage
Skin Care Body Wraps.
Make up    

 

 

 

Completion of this program enables you to meet the requirements for a Managing Esthetics License. You can work in a salon, day spa, or a physician’s office. You are also able to own and manage your own salon.

Managing Manicuring
When choosing Managing Manicuring training, you will learn the fundamentals of manicuring, pedicuring, and acrylic nails, using the most advanced techniques and instruction available. Completion of this program enables you to meet the requirements for a Managing Manicuring License. This license enables you to work in or operate your own salon.

Combination Managing Esthetics/Manicuring                                                            Choose the Combination Managing Esthetic/Nail Tech. training program to receive hands-on training and advanced techniques from expert instructors in both fields.  With this license you can also work in a salon or day spa, or own and operate a salon of your own!

People Skills
Cosmetology is a people-oriented business. Developing your "people skills" is crucial to your future success and job satisfaction. Eastern Hills Academy of Hair Design, Tri County Beauty College, and Western Hills School of Beauty and Hair Design recognize the importance of interpersonal skills and emphasize this aspect throughout your training.



Objectives
The objectives of these courses are to train students in all phases of their program of study including: sanitation, anatomy, massage, chemistry, how to seek and obtain employment, applicable laws and regulations, State and Federal Taxes, and salon management.
After completion of these courses and passing the State Board exam, the student will be qualified to manage a salon, supervise employees, or open up their own salon.

Course Format and Grading Procedures
The Ohio State Board of Cosmetology requires the completion of course required hours to qualify graduates to apply for the Ohio State Licensing Examination. Students begin with classroom theory and practical (hands on) sessions. Laboratory/Clinic and practical assignments are graded using a daily worksheet. Written testing is both multiple choice and essay.
